until 直到… 如果用在持续性动词作谓语的句子中,until 表示肯定。反之,若动词是瞬间性的,则该句表否定之意。
e.g. He usually works until midnight.
They won’t come back until 7pm.
8. need to do sth. 需要做某事(某人做主语)
e.g. Everyone needs to revise for the test.
9. too 和also 都可表示“也,还”。too 常用于句尾,并与句子以逗号隔开。also 常用于be动词后或行为动词前。

2.形容词最高级
1) 当我们需要对三个或三个以上的人或事物进行比较,来表达最高、最远、最快等意义的时候,我们可以用形容词和副词的最高级形式来表达。
构成方法:
(1) 一般在词尾加-est.
(2) 以字母e结尾的形容词/副词,直接加-st.
(3) 以重读闭音节结尾的形容词/副词,应先双写该字母,再加-est. (注:常用的有五个big fat hot thin red,可以这样记:大胖子热瘦子是红色的)
(4) 多音节词和部分双音节词 在词前加most
注意:形容词的最高级前一般要加定冠词the, 而副词的最高级前则可加也可不加the。
5) 形容词(adj.)或副词(adv.) 的不规则变化:
many/much---- more----most
good/ well----better----best
little ---- less----least
bad/badly---- worse----worst
far---- farther----farthest(距离)
far---- further----furthest(抽象意义)

e.g. 31/2 years = three and a half years = three years and a half
11/2 days = one and a half days = one day and a half
6. The fares aren’t expensive and you can buy a ticket at the bus stoop. 不可以用buy fares
